Bootcamp was something I really didn’t think I would be able to do. I thought it was only for super fit, slim, fitness people, but then I met Mel, who encouraged me to try it. One year on, I’ve been going twice a week every week since then and I love it. I enjoy being outside in the fresh air, without the gym mirrors and the skinny young people next to me, that make me feel rubbish about myself before I even get started. At Bootcamp we have a real giggle, we (the bootcamp troops) are never quite sure what we’ll be doing next, as each week it’s a varied workout. Nothing has ever made me feel that I can’t do it, and I have been challenged but only the level I can manage and each week that level has improved so I get healthier, fitter and slimmer each. The most important thing is I can see the difference in my fitness levels now, as well as and my weight clothes size has dropped too. I’ve also made a bunch of new friends who all give me the incentive to carry on going otherwise I’d be letting the gang down! In this first year of me going I have exercised in the sun, the rain, the snow and the mud, and had such a great laugh doing it.

My fitness was ok when I joined M.K.A.bootcamp.....well so
I thought. Even though there are loads of people at different fitness levels, each person is pushed to places they’ve never been before. It’s just awesome fun. Its hard work but you don’t realise your working so hard because everyone around you is working too. It’s so different to every other form of exercise I’ve ever done before. You’ve just got to try it. Graham, 38 |
To sum up bootcamp:
It’s a great varied workout each time. The people are lovely and I’ve made some great friends. I love exercising outside in all weathers. At first I thought I would be put off if it rained, but this is not the case. I love it whatever the weather. It’s completely different and much more fun than being stuck in gym. There cannot be a person more suited to running a bootcamp than Mel. Somehow she gets the best out of everyone there every time Debra Harvey |
I had been going to Mel's combat and pump classes for a while, and always really enjoyed her energy and enthusiasm. At the start of this year I decided I was going to get ultra fit! I had heard about Mel’s Bootcamp and at first was really wary of going on my own, as I was not a very confident person. However, I made the decision to go and am so glad I did. Mel and the group are all so friendly, and
you forget straight away that you have come on your own. It is really tough workout, but lots of fun at the same time. Mel keeps everyone motivated and is really good at knowing how far to push each individual and what their limits are. No 2 sessions are the same and Mel is always trying new things, so it is always a challenge and never gets boring. It has helped improve my confidence as well as my fitness, and I have even started training in MMA, which I don't think I would have been able to do without Mel’s MKA bootcamp. Thanks Mel! You are awesome and an inspiration :) xxx Kelly T |
